Essential PreK Items

Below "My Favorite Supplies" links, I have listed items I use frequently and throughout most activities. I keep these items in accessible places and very organized, so I can always find them.

ART SUPPLIES
  • Crayons ("Stabilo Woody" crayons are the best quality crayons I have found.  A bit more in price, but perfect for kids who are developing artists!)
  • Pens and pencils
  • Colored pencils
  • Washable markers
  • Sharpie markers (I like my set of different colors)
  • Colored chalk (thick and thin)
  • Do A Dot markers (Great letter practice worksheets found at TotSchool)
  • Paint (non-toxic) and different sized paintbrushes
  • Q-tips

CRAFT SUPPLIES
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Construction Paper
  • Child scissors
  • Glue sticks
  • White glue bottle (get a few refillable small bottles - and buy extra white glue in the gallon jug; it is cheaper and if you are homeschooling, you will use it, trust me!)
  • Newspaper
  • Toilet rolls or paper towel rolls (I always keep a few around for crafts)
  • Craft Pom Poms
  • Clear packing tape with a dispenser (I use this a lot for quick cheap lamination purposes)

GAMES (I consider these games of educational value and easy for my preschooler to use on her own)
  • Animal Bingo
  • Candyland
  • Connect 4
  • Guess Who?
  • Puzzles!

EXTRAS
  • Dyed macaroni noodles
  • Playdough (Here is a good recipe: No Cook Play Dough Recipe)
  • Magic Erasers! (a must if you are planning on doing lots of arts and crafts)
