NOTE: The only thing I have purchased to facilitate any academic study for my preschooler is a basic workbook. Below is a link to my favorite workbooks because they are age appropriate and diverse in learning styles.
MONDAY:
1) Say a prayer together.
2) Sing a song and read a picture book (10 mins). This is for my toddler. After we are done with the picture books, I let my toddler play by herself in her room while I continue the lesson with my preschooler. Sometimes she chooses to stay and observe the rest of the lesson. She learns quite a bit from watching her older sister do "school."

3) Board Activities (5 mins): I use our chalkboard easel to review the letter of the week and it's sound. We go over how to spell our names, and where we live.
4) We review/recite an Article of Faith (one per month). You can choose to have your child recite something else (like a nursery rhyme). I find it beneficial to exercise memorization skills at this age. Even if it is only a sentence or two.
5) Workbook (10 mins): I have a Spectrum Preschool Workbook. I usually have my child complete 2-3 pages per sitting. The concepts are very easy, but I think it is valuable to teach children how to sit and complete an assignment in a quiet setting.
6) Study the weekly theme by reading short educational books from the library or researching online (10 mins).

ONCE A MONTH ON A SATURDAY - We do a daddy-led science experiment as a family. This is my husband's opportunity to plan something and engage the kids in a fun and educational activity. Dad loves to be part of our homeschool schedule.
SUNDAY:
- Church/Sunday School
*I definitely do NOT follow this schedule perfectly every week. I just have it as a guide for when I need some direction. I mostly let my daughter's interests guide me. I try to take my cues from her to maximize her learning potential.
